Kudampuli  ( Garcinia cambogia) –  Commonly known as “Malabar Tamarind” Kudampuli is cultivated in tropical countries. This is used to flavour a large variety of beverages, curries, candies and pickles.Kudampuli is a good condiment for flavoring curries and as a substitute for tamarind, mango and lime in various preparations. It has a slightly sweet and sour aroma and is used in Kerala extensively to flavour fish curries. Many health benefits have also been attributed to Kudampuli.
