Awe-inspiring and magnificent, Vallamkali is one of the world’s most fascinating sports events. The Chundan Vallam is a remarkable example of ancient Kerala’s prowess in naval architecture.
There are numerous legends, folklores and myths associated with the boat races of Kerala. The season of boat races begins during Onam. Several major and minor boat races are held in and around Alappuzha, the boat race hub of Kerala.
